The night before election

With full apologies to Clement Moore

‘Twas the night before elections
and all through the town
Democrats were fretting
They all wore a frown

Ballot boxes were open, ready to stuff
Beyond the margin of theft, it must be enough
The unions were ready, their thugs to deploy
And others from ACORN, with plans to annoy

Left wing groups were running their ads in great fear
That the loss their power soon would be here
And then from the states there arose such a howl
But liberal activists wouldn’t throw in the towel.
